Marilyn J. Rowland loves the arts! Shown here with a butterfly perched on her glasses at the Krohn Conservatory’s Butterfly Show in Cincinnati, she creates beach-inspired beaded, metal, ceramic jewelry; whimsical pottery, and a range of fiber arts items. She writes about the arts in Falmouth, MA, and on Cape Cod and edits materials for publication. She is semi-retired from a long career as book/periodical/web indexer, and before that, as an urban/environmental planner. She currently works with people with intellectual disabilities, providing art and community experiences.

Marilyn is a member of the Falmouth Cultural Council, serves as president of ArtsFalmouth, co-coordinates the Falmouth ArtMarket, is a member producer/director at Falmouth Community Television, a member of Falmouth Art Center, plays cello in the Cape Community Orchestra and with various fiddle groups and plays flute in the Falmouth Town Band.
